Finally got help for me changing DNS to googles DNS fixed it
So, I had preordered the game on July 26th ish I would say, I didn’t play it at all before it was released, and I let it download completely on my PS4 tonight, after tmdoinng the shutdown cycle, disabling the “Gameplay Recording Blocked” notifications, and unplugging my headset and controller charger from my PS4 it did finally work for me. Hopefully this helps lots of people!

Been trying a bunch of random stuff and was finally able to work around the issue following these steps:
1) Sign out of the PSN profile from the home screen
2) Launch Madden 20 and wait until it loads completely (should load as you’re not logging into servers)
3) Sign back into PSN profile from the home screen
4) Open Madden back up and press R2 to sign into EA servers
I might have just gotten lucky but worth a shot if you’re still having issues.

Thank you for providing the workaround solutions! We are ensuring the team is aware of this happening to players and I've actually seen another technical issue get resolved by unplugging the controller charger from the PS4.
I was having the same problem with PS4 using wired connection. I switched it to WiFi and was able to finally get into the game.

Are you both on wired and able to get in after switching to WiFi under the PSN settings?
clicked reply cause i dont see any other way to post,
also having trouble playing, was having the same issue as others, screen would freeze during the opening credits thing, i uninstalled and re installed the game, tried starting it before the 1.06 version was done installing and the game worked. was able to play for a few hours no problem. go to play today and right back to square 1, game freezing during opening credits scene, tried turning off the internet connection as was mentioned earlier, and tried again, this time it would go past the credits scene. i go to continue my face of the franchise and it kept giving me an error, so i deleted it and tried starting fresh, as soon as i try to start a new face of the franchise it freezes there now. also freezes trying to start franchise mode
I tried all of the suggested solutions and none of them have worked I am unable to play
