Game Freezes Constantly During MUT Solos - Xbox One

I've been trying to play MUT solos, and the game consistently locks up the xbox one right at the start of an animation. Typically this is after a touchdown is scored and the player's card is about to pop up.

I've been through the whole Xbox troubleshooting processes - uninstalling the game, reinstalling, resetting the system, etc. The game is still freezing.

It seems to do it more on Arcade than on SIM, but did have an instance where the game froze on SIM.

This is a first generation, first day xbox one. Wondering if the age of the xbox has something to do with it. Would love to ask EA directly, but I can't even get their chat to come up. Anyone have any ideas???
