Game-Play Freezes a "Previous Gen" Console Issue Only?

Are the game-play freezes an issue with the power of previous generation consoles (XBox360/PS4)?  I have certainly experienced many freezing issues during game-play, during throws, receiving, etc.  I have also seen the system hang if two players are changing uniforms at the same time during game setup.  

Please respond with your experiences and identify which console you are on.

    In my experience it allowed me to complete 1 full regular season then froze when loading the offline connected careers menu. it did this 3 times in a row.
