If you're playing Exhibition games you can change the difficulty before you go into the game and with sliders from the menu. If you run a online or offline franchise, you make difficulty and custom game sliders there, too.
For MUT and online H2H play you can't change the difficulty.
@EA_Blueberry I am having the same issues with the game speed on Madden 20. Where do I go in the "difficulty area" to change the game speed? I played the "Exhibition" games only offline. I am unable to find and adjust the game speed to "normal" from "fast pace".

Difficulty can be changed under game settings. Rookie will slow down the game while increasing it to All-Madden will make it feel faster.
