game won't start, how do i change in game settings without being in game

So basically i bought the game and starting playing it and around with the settings, i changed my direct x to 12 though i can only run 11 which i didn't know. Now i can't start the game and get an er...

Hi @Twitch_A8AR, 

Let's take a look and see if we can help get you back up and running. 

First, have you had a chance to try repairing Madden 20 in Origin to see if that helps at all? If you right-click on the game in your Origin library you'll see the repair option when the menu pops up.
