Getting CPU vs. CPU back in offline franchise mode for Madden 15

The only reason I buy any Madden game is because of being able to watch an NFL season during the real NFL offseason. I havn't purchased madden since Madden 12 which was the last year this feature was available. If it can be done in play now mode then it should be available in franchise mode. I am not the only one who feels this way there is a large post on another forum that says the same thing

We are tired of being ignored I want to enjoy these new improvement and graphics in a great replacement for the football experience during the offseason and during the week before sundays.

Some off us like to play GM and build the team and watch the results. some of us enjoy watching the games unfold even the games no involving our team like the seasons super bowl and big playoff matchups. even important regular season matchups i enjoy viewing i dont enjoy just playing the game because winning the super bowl every year by me playing is very dull i enjoy the owner/gm experience of running the team

I use the work around. I've been doing madden cpu vs cpu since the beginning. It gives me the GM feeling. Bring it back as this has a bigger following than you think. You are also leaving out the football fans who are disabled...aka our military vets etc. bring it back or when other companies start making football games, and know that that day is coming soon, you will lose my 25 years of support.
  • This is the only reason I haven't purchased Madden 15.  I prefer to just GM my team and watch it peform.  CPU vs. CPU just fits into my life better.

I don't see why EA doesn't accomodate us on this.  It isn't a big deal.  CPU vs. CPU is in the demo mode.  Why not just turn off whatever Madden points or acheivements are being recorded and let us enjoy the game?  If NBA 2K can accomodate us (more than accomodate us, they made an entire game mode dedicated to players like us), then surely EA can with Madden.  I actually enjoy managing a football team more than managing a basketball team (more to do with a bigger roster), but I only own NBA 2k15 just for the CPU vs. CPU mode.

And I actually have ended up playing the other game modes just as a side effect.

I agree! This is the only way I play Madden. I've bought madden 15 but haven't played a game because this feature isn't available. I'll be taking it back unfortunately.
  • They need to put Cpu vs. Cpu back into Madden 15, But Good luck, EA_Barry won't give this to EA and his is also worthless.  I been asking for this mode to be put in Madden games since the release of madden 13 and Do Barry listens No

  • I know how to play to play CPU vs CPU on madden 15. I do it all the time. All you have to do is go to player and save it how it is and have him be undrafted and last on the depth chart in his position. Do this for all 32 teams which shouldn't take too long. You must have 2 controllers so that it can work. go to a game and select the teams with the 2 controllers and watch the magic happen with CPU gameplay. Make sure your player can't get in by putting him way down the depth chart so they can stay out the whole game and let the CPU game play out. 👍

Seriously EA, if you don't bring this back I'm not buying another EA game ever again. You've been going around stripping all your franchises left and right; enough is enough. I want my money's worth, not this gutted *.

Indeed, this is a workaround, but what a pain in the A@#. Not only do you have to create a 3rd string player for every team but some of them will become starters over time, which means you have to retire them and create a new one because you can't control the depth chart with a created player. It doesn't take long to retire the player and create a new one, so no big deal but this shouldn't be necessary. This is also not such a big deal if you don't want to control anything in your league (if you just want to sim everything and let the computer control everything). However, there is are bigger issues if you use coaches or owners to control all the teams in your league as I do. I've created a very customized league with hundreds of legends and I want to be able to switch to an owner or coach to fix roster problems that happens because the AI does stupid things sometimes (for example, the Colts had Manning and Luck the first year, but Manning retired leaving Luck the clear #1 QB but the AI decided to release him after week 1 for some unknown reason. If I had a created player for simming purposes then I would need to retire him, switch to a coach, fix it, then retire the coach and create a new player. This means that you have to retire the coaches or owners anytime you need to create the "sim player". If you don't care that all your coaches and owners are gone then no big deal I guess, but again, THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS JUST TO HAVE THE CPU PLAY A GAME IN FRANCHISE MODE.

I can't fathom any reason why they can't just unlock the "controller select" in this mode.

Bro, I totally agree. I will never buy another EA game as long as they continue to downgrade their products. They're down-right inconsiderate of the different types of game play that their CUSTOMERS prefer. I purchased M15 through the Playstation Store and I wish I could get my money back on it. I don't have the time to play out full games by myself, yet I find it almost therapeutic to build a team and just watch it play when I do get the time to relax. Not having direct control over the players and not winning every game 120 to 6 makes it a much more life-like experience. So the way I now see it is that EA is capable of putting forth the life-like graphics but is nowhere close (doesn't even want to) to providing a life-like experience. So until you decide to listen to your "valued" customers, screw you EA... Right to Hell. We have invested sh*t tons of our hard-earned money on your pieces of plastic that probably realistically costs less than a fraction of what you charge to make. And now you choose not to accommodate us... I'll stick to 2K games from now on and just play fantasy football. I may be nothing more than a petty customer that you guys get 50 to 100 bucks from each year, but now that's 50 to 100 bucks less you'll be getting, and from the looks of it I'm not the only one. I hope you a**holes all end up losing your jobs and not being able to support your families.... Here's a toast to hoping you starve.
