How do the Pass Defense and Pass D Reaction Time Slider Work?

I understand how the other sliders work, I think, for example setting WR catching to 100 should make catching objectively "Better" and 0 should make it "Worse". However I've heard that Pass Defense, and Pass Reaction time are reversed. Meaning "0" on Pass Defense would make it objectively "Better" and 100 would make it "Worse". And the same being true on Pass Defense Reaction Time. Can anyone explain this to me, online help chat referred me here. I'm just trying to tighten up game-play and make it easier on the CPU.
