I have been playing Madden 15 for about 3 weeks now and have yet to learn to lead the reciever how do you lead the reciever because i will be playing and he will be open down the field yet when i throw him the ball it will be underthrown or thrown to where the reciever has to stop and wait for the ball even if it is only 20 yards. Keep in mind i am not moving as i throw the ball and am not hit as i throw.
As you are picking the receiver to throw it to push the left joystick in the direction that your receiver is running. If he is running to the right, push the joystick to the right, running to the left, push the joystick to the left. This also works if you want to lead him up the field or throw the ball short. For example on a curl pattern where he stops, turns around, and comes back toward the line of scrimmage, push the left joystick down to underthrow him intentionally. On the opposite side of things, if your receiver is running a fly pattern (running straight up the field toward the goal line), push the left joystick up as you throw it.
