how to turn substitutions off in franchise PLAYER MODE in madden 16? Pls help

im in madden 16 franchise mode and I'm in player mode. 
i am a HB and i am 1st string, but due to substitutions, I play 1st quarter than 2nd string plays the whole rest of the game because subs are broken i think. Does anyone who is a player NOT A COACH in franchise mode know how to change this? Please help me it is so frustrating and I would be very grateful if you could help.
