980ti here. Still locked out, but oddly enough my companion app works just fine (it verifies there no problem)
@Evilmadclown last year using the companion app dramatically increased the frequency of my human verifications so removing the app might actually help for you. Im getting this verification withing 20 minutes of time in mut every time

@tptdudethis is actually a returning problem from last year, which i posted about and never got addressed. it used to bring up a slightly different error message where it said it couldn't "load the event", rather than enforcement challenge, and you actually didn't see the verification menu appear, you just got the error message. I can't find my old post, but it got marked as solved and no one followed up on the 20 or so cases I opened either

EA "help" closed my case without doing anything and marked it as "resolved." 😕@tptdude So this happened to you last year? Did it ever get fixed or go away on its own?
- @Evilmadclown the severity dropped off at times it was inconsistent. It seemed like if I played frequently or used the app the verifications got much worse and removing the app did help a lot of it last year. this year i have not installed the app!
I have been using the app non-stop, so upon loading in every time I insta-verify. Only one time for about 3 mins did this not happen. Will delete companion app, stop playing for an hour, report back
