I tried to unlink and try to link again to see if it would fix it getting this error when I try. please help

One thing you'll want to definitely check first is whether you're using the correct e-mail address when linking up the accounts.
Here is how you can check what e-mail address is associated with your EA account.

Once you know you have the correct e-mail address, visit your Twitch account and remove the EA connection from your settings.
You'll still need to un-link the Twitch account from your EA account too. Here is how to do that.
