I'm also having this issue. It makes me not want to use backups.
I just played a game and players who are generally invisible weren't for once.
I had the issue again with Kai Forbath (not one of my players). He's the starting kicker for the Browns in my CCM so I guess that means this glitch isn't limited to subs. I then put my fourth string RB in and he was invisible.
