Is it legal to "mod" any of the Madden NFL PC games?

Is it legal to "mod" any of the Madden NFL PC games? Use 3rd party utilities to change uniforms or stadiums?

    Thanks , Barry....I understand from what you are saying that it is...

    1. Ok to create and download user created files of new uniforms and stadiums ...using the utilities that came with the game (Create - A- Team , Create -A-Stadium)

    It is illegal to ...

    2. Hack into the mmap and TMdl game files with 3rd party utilities and modify the original game files.

Yes, there is still an active Madden PC community providing mods and updates so go right ahead!

    I am confused...the EULA for Madden 2008 says..."you shall not,...(b) alter, modify, enhance,
    or create a derivative work or improvement of any part of the Software". And in my phone conversation with EA , I was told all modding of Madden PC games was illegal.

      Modifying the initial game files is not allowed.

      Downloading user created files in order to modify rosters and uniforms etc. is okay.
