It won't allow me to trade

Hey fellow Madden lovers,

So, here's the thing.  I was trying to trade yesterday and it gave me an odd message that said "One of the draft picks offered by the Bills (me) is no longer available to be traded."

So, I ddn't think much of it (it was during the draft, so, I figured they wanted me to use the pick), but, then today, during season 2 of connected franchise mode (offline), week 1 of preseason I tried to trade a player for a few picks, and I get the same message.  I didn't have any picks up on my side, so, this must be an error or gliitch or something.  Anyone else having this?

I've seen this error message in other editions of Madden (did a google search) so, any ideas?

This is very annoying to say the least.  I can't make any trades, unless a team offers to trade me (takes the initiative).

I am not sure how much more info I can give.  I'm on a ps3.

Thanks

Dan

    Bump.

I'm on PS4 and am having the same problem.  Week 8, making a few trades, then this message suddenly showed up and I can no longer trade.  I'm playing as the Bills as well .... coincidence?

same thing happened to me. I put a player on trade block and received several offers.  When i try to accept them, i get the same error message "the draft pick is no longer available" season 3 of offline franchise playing the 49ers

I realized I hadn't saved my game after this error appeared, so I loaded it back up.  Made a different but similar trade to the original one I made that started the issue (a first round pick for a CB), which was accepted and successful.  The issue then came right back, and I can no longer make trades.

The first year of my franchise I rebuilt my team and ended up with a bunch of late draft picks.  Over the years, I've been trading those forward and up, so I tend to make lots of trades involving picks.  This almost feels like there's an internal counter for how many picks you can trade, and I've capped it out.

Anyway, this is quite irritating as my connected franchise is now essentially screwed - I have lots more picks than I need, and because the game reserves cap space based on your picks during re-signing, I won't be able to resign any of my players with expiring contracts.  Then, to make matters worse, the game auto-signs picks, often with large bonuses, which will jack me for the foreseeable future.

Please take a look at this one, EA.  There's a mode-breaking defect here.

    Thanks.

Hey buddy, I was just dealing with the same problem. After messing around with it a little while it seems to me that they cap off your picks at 25 per draft. I've been doing the same thing as you. Re building, and trading picks foorward. I'm in my 11th season, and now I just ran into this problem. I fixed by simply giving away picks. Throwing in some of my 5-7 round picks into deals where the other team would of accepted it without it.

I traded 3 7th round picks for a 4th and now trades seem to go through again. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
