Still happening to me, never got fixed. I’m doing franchise and I’m the coach of Jaguars, thought it was just because my punter was no good so I traded for Chris Jones on the Cowboys (81 overall) still having the same problem! EA, I know you continuously never solve problems for users, but please, please fix this. I’m having to go for fourth every time because my punter only sends it 15-25 yards, FIX IT!!!!! I’d rather play 2k because of this, smh.
not sure whether my suggestions are helpful at all, but I want to try to help at least: I face this issue sometimes too. if it happens I face lags in the game in general. in these cases I have to click the button much earlier than I would expect. if I click the button too late than the kick (or punt) is very short.
therefore, my question would be, whether you already tried to click much earlier than you would think is accurate and see what happens? if the short kick or punt is due to a delayed registration of your input (i.e. the key you pressed) the first line of the smart meter always appears at the same place, no matter whether you pressed the button too late or did not press it at all.
