Does anyone else besides me have a problem with punting? Never have I kicked a punt that lands below the 10-yard line or out of bounds. Always seem to kick punts that are always short, and give the opposing team great field position. And has anyone kicked a 50 yard or greater FG? Can't get the aim right either. The higher the aim means the short kick. I assume this is just broken.

I followed your advice and tried to practice kicking FG's and punts. It wasn't pretty. You're supposed to kick the ball to a certain spot on the field. However, I was never able to reach it. There isn't a way to kick line-drive kicks. Maybe someone else can chime in on this. Thanks for your reply though.
If that's when pressing A at both white lines on the kick meter with a standard arc, for extra distance consider buying a stronger kicker/punter and then try again? Also, as a precaution try another gamepad - perhaps its left stick drifts in neutral causing a dropped arc?
