Lagging/Freezing on PS4 Madden 20

This all started about a week or two ago.Never had this issue ever since the game came out. My madden 20 on the PS4 has started to freeze and lag during online playing. This problem is causing me to lose every game. I have deleted the game , and reinstalled it as well, but no luck. Even went into safe mode to “rebuild database”, still no luck. Also rebooted my modem/router. Also moved my PS4 system right next to modem/router,still get the lagging/freezing during online play. Is it the game or my system? Can someone please help me with this issue. By the way, this is happening on all my games. I'm thinking problem has something to do with my system-PS4. Need help to resolve this issue like last year. lol.... Need Immediate feedback to solve my issue greatly.

As you say this is happening with all games, I suspect your console may be overheating.

If your console is running the cooling fans hard, try powering off the console and then vacuum the dust/lint out of the vents.

    Thanks.

  • I will try this. Just to let you know I have the very 1st system (500GB). I’ve been researching myself for this problem, and thought it may be my hard drive . However it’s not making any noise or powering down...So I don’t know . I know one thing for sure , it’s killing me to not solve this issue.

  • Same thing happening to me. I have one of the newer PS4 which run on 5 ghz and have download speeds of 250 MB’s and upload of 20 MB’s. Don’t know what the deal is but I’ve disconnected from almost all my games. I’ve ran speed test the same time as my connection was laggy. I would rather have a genuine answer than one to make it seem that your guys connectivity it all good

  • This thing has me bugging out. I’m all most to the point of trying to replace my hard drive due to this problem. I’m constantly googling information about this problem , but no solution yet. Have me guessing since the PS 5 will be coming out this year, making sense to have problems with the older systems to make you purchase the new system which is the PS 5.

Maybe this will work? A player posted this in the Battlefront II forums.

"I was recently able to resolve the issue once I discovered the hot air my console was venting wasn't venting very far and I believe my ps4 was just sucking up the hot air so I placed a fan behind my console to suck out the hot air and blow it away and ive finally been able to play this game for hours with no issues. It's odd it only happens with this game but the fan works until I can pick up a rear fan attachment for my console which is what I would recommend doing if you have the ps4 too hot issue while playing this game."

I have a ps slim that I have had for a year and this just started happening to me. Hella frustrating.

  • This is only happening in Madden. I am constantly getting kicked. I'm hardwired and am registering at 146 MB's. My PlayStation isn't turning off or beeping as if it were hot. Is the hard drive literally the only thing that can cause this to be happening?
