Logitech F710 Gamepad issues

I have the Gamepad mentioned in the topic, and I have had it for a while with no issues. But with madden 19, I am fighting the controller more then I am fighting the other team. the buttons loose there assignment constantly, during a play pushing any button cause the game to go into windows mode and messenger text box comes up. the prompts on the screen constant switch between the keyboard commands and controller.

Any ideas how to fix this? I find it hard to believe that they would release this without a controller being optimized.
