I was having this same issue - very frustrating and EA doing nothing about it. However, I came upon a post in another place that has fixed the issue for me - been through 2 seasons without issue. Only have 1 career saved at a time - whenever going to load your connected franchise if you have more than one career file in the list - delete all of you older ones. it works.

I don't think this is true, because my friend and myself only had one Franchise going when it started happening, literally the same day we bought the game, but if I get stuck on Loading Data again I'll make sure to try this.

This IS the fix, at least for the Connected Franchise Issue. Deleting multiple saves (separate franchise instances), solved the issue for me. Now it boots directly into my saved game with no issues.
Also: One thing to note, I didn't have ANY issues with this game UNTIL I linked it up with an Origins account. I played for 6 months just messing around with local offline games, and CFM, with absolutely no issues. I wanted to try MUT, and then the "fun" started.
Now, every few days it seems, the game won't recognize that I've been playing for months, and will decide to create a new Madden profile, bringing me to the opening NFC championship sequence, and going through tutorials every time I go to a game mode.
Too bad EA is so afraid of Pirating that they hide half their content behind an Origins account that, apparently, is extremely buggy. Guess the equation of losing a few pissed off customers is out-weighed by the loss of having their games pirated. Too bad for us.

I had the same problem in Madden 15 on PS3: Freezing while loading into the first game of the season (after playing each preseason game, and saving after each one) in offline connected franchise mode. I think I had six saves accumulated. Deleting all but the last save allowed me to resume my season.
And thank goodness, I thought my disc was about to become a coaster. Playing a few seasons solo is the only reason why I buy Madden every few years.
