MADDEN 15 WON'T EVEN LOAD NOW...UNPLAYABLE....
I have had problems ever since I bought this game. I started a season and haven't been able to play consecutive weeks due to a loading data issue that still occurs after update. The game periodically resets itself and starts over and now I can't even play the game because it just freezes at the Madden loading screen. It doesn't even get to the main menu....what can be done to solve this issue...please help
This is a hugely frustrating problem, made all the more frustrating because it really is a great game to play -- when it loads. The same thing happens every time -- on the third (always the third) random "features" screen that pops up during the initial loading of a new game, it stalls.
(Bought the system new at Best Buy on Black Friday, Destiny bundle, no problems at all with Destiny, or any connectivity issues. Only Madden 15 has problems.)
The only way I have been able to get the game to work is to get rid of the update that automatically loads when you first install the disc. So here's the step-by-step I've had success with, for when it stalls:
- Go back to the home screen, hit Options, and Close Application.
- Press Options again, this time hit Delete (the game itself).
- Remove disc, then reload. The game will start re-installing.
- Once the game is re-installed, wait for the prompt that the update will start downloading.
- Go to Downloads, pause, hit Options. Delete should be the only available option. Squash it like a giant cockroach.
The game will take a few minutes to load up, but should work and play fine. Strangely, it even retains the stats and data you've already built up from previous games, even though you supposedly uninstalled and reinstalled it. Whatever works.
