Madden updates their rosters once a week, generally on a Thursday. Beyond that, the last 5-10 roster slots for nearly every team are fluid, particularly right after the 53 man cuts. The Bears for instance signed Patrick Omameh off Waivers the day after the 53 man cuts. I guarantee they will have an update before the regular season kicks off.
Tim Jennings was cut more than two thursdays ago, he left the team before the third preseason game. and he is still on the roster.
- They only update weekly throughout the regular season. Tim Jennings was officially signed 9/7/15 according to the NFL transaction report. He was signed after the 53 man cuts to avoid his salary being guaranteed for the year. It was just reported in the media that he signed even though the official paperwork wasn't submitted until labor day.
