Madden 17 Xbox 360 Offline CFM Crashes with Custom Roster

Just downloaded Madden 17 for Xbox 360 to play franchise mode offline. Downloaded a new custom roster and attempted to use it for offline CFM and game crashes when I click “Accept and Continue” after making my new player. Any ideas on how to remedy this issue?
