Madden 19 PC Controller support

I cannot get this game to recognise my dual shock 4 or my steam controller. I have ran it through Origin and tried big picture mode with configured controls. It gets stuck on the controller/profile s...

Works fine on my laptop with wireless Xbox One controller (bluetooth).

Game is unplayable on my desktop, however, as when I connect the controller it keeps looping on the "Set Active Controller" popup any time I do anything with the controller. ☹️

    Your PC needs to think your controller is an XInput type of controller.

    Your controller can do this natively, have a switch between XInput and DirectInput or you can find software online along the lines of XInput wrapper.

      @EA_Barry this is a work around and not a solution...will there be proper support for the PS4 controller? If no, why...makes no sense when thinking about you have many PS4 players who might want to move over to the PC now. Also when other companies does it without issue

      @EA_Barry - Are you saying that an XBox One controller is not natively supported?

      The same controller works fine with Madden 19 on my laptop.

      I'm thinking there must be some conflict happening on the desktop?

        Its true, Logitech controllers are not working in Madden NFL 2019 on PC.Cant beleive EA failed again.

      first of all are we talking about having WINDOWS 10 - none of this means * if your using WINDOWS 7 right! so please specified this...bought and xbox1 and windows controller (wired) and it did not work at all. loaded the recent drivers...nothing worked. Sad that this was never researched before this or was it and let out to public so we could all buy controller so origin, Microsoft to make money

        It works for me if and only if i close origin, start steam in admin mode, from this point be sure ps4,Xbox controller support is enabled in steam in big picture mode, from that point add madden 19 into steam and start madden. You will notice origin boot and that is fine just wait for the game to load, once loaded the ds4 controller works fine without having to use ds4windows etc. I pray EA gets a patch out for this * ASAP as this has been one major headache for a $59.99 game. Running Windows 10 as well for any who need to know.

    Had the same issue. Solved by unplugging all USB game devices except for the XBox Controller.
    Seems the issue was triggered by USB confusion as to what the right controller is to be used by Madden.
