Madden 20 error downloading tuning data

Madden 20 keeps receiving an error with loading latest tuning data and roster which keeps me from playing online at all.

Would you mind letting me know what platform you play on?

This error has popped up over the years I've been supporting the Madden franchise. Usually if you power cycle the console and reboot the network that can help allow it to download the next go around. For Xbox users it helps to clear the persistent storage from the Blue-Ray app.

If it doesn't work that way, try deleting your latest roster file and profile from the Manage Files section via the main menu. Then immediately enter an online H2H game so it forces you to download the latest roster.

For PC users, I've seen a clean boot fix this. Clean boot the PC and then immediately launch Madden 20 as Administrator (right-click on the desktop shortcut).

I swapped from wired internet to wifi. I removed saved games and reserved data. I restarted console several times. I changed DNS from automatic to google servers and back. I tried a new MAC address....

I was able to get into the pro bowl game and it froze during the kickoff on two different occasions.

One, while kicking, the game froze. Made as strange buzzing sounds and the consol turned off.

Two, while receiving and running back the kick off the game froze. Strange sound and then crash.

If the game is downloaded to my xbox and I'm playing single player, why would these network settings affect performance?

What else can you suggest? I am waiting for my xbox to reboot for the 100th time so I can try the gamertag suggestion.

I removed and re added the gamertag. Started the game, received the kick and returned it for 10 yds. Lined up on first down and before I could hike the ball, the game froze, buzzed, and console off.
What else can I do to fix this?

Tried starting the game again and now its freezing during the loading screen where the game shows player profiles....

It could be freezing because the data is being disrupted when it's being transmitted back and forth from the servers to your console. I've seen this fixed for players after changing their DNS on the console. Let me know if this helps.

DNS Provider Primary DNS Secondary DNS

Google 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4

Level 3 209.244.0.3 209.244.0.4

Quad9 9.9.9.9 149.112.112.112

Open the guide by pressing the Xbox button on your controller.

Move right to the System tab.

Select Settings.

Move down to Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Make a note of your existing DNS servers on this screen, in case you need to re-enter them for some reason.

Select DNS settings.

Select Manual.

Enter your new DNS servers. (For Cloudfare, it's 1.1.1.1 as the primary, and 1.0.0.1 as the secondary.)

Once you have finished, press B to exit the menu, and the Xbox will check your connection to make sure everything is working correctly.

I contacted support. They suggested I reset my xbox one to factory settings and reinstall madden 20. Loading the game results in a freeze with mahone on the screen followed by a crash.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into the USB slot or anything else plugged in?

Are you able to download the tuning data after you reboot your local network and power cycle the console?
