Madden 20 Online Franchise Connection Error Fix

Hey guys. So I recently was playing my online franchise, and had issues connecting when I tried to play again later. So I tried several of the recommended options, and had no luck. Someone else on the forum was having the same issue and found a potential fix which worked for the two of us so im passing it on.

if you were receiving the “Ea server cannot be reached. Please try again later. We’ll send you back to the Main Menu” please attempt the following steps.

1) Hard Reset Console (Of course you’ve done this already)

2)Once loaded, Hover over Madden 20 and click the settings button. Go to Manage Game and Add ons and Clear your Reserved space. After that load Madden and  load your franchise. You may have to load it manually. 

3) if it worked, like this post so our fellow online franchisers can resume their gaming! 


4) Unfortunately, I don’t know what else to suggest if this doesn’t fix it for you, but feel free to say that it doesn’t so we know how much it does work. Thanks!

    Last night the servers were actually down for maintenance and Franchises were gated. I got a message on Madden. I wasn’t able to connect at all to the franchise servers. That was intentional. So I’m not surprised if you tried this late last night and it didn’t work. No way it would hAve.

    EA is so terrible of a company if everyone did there job like EA we would be screwed imagine going to a fast food restaurant and ordering a cheese burger you pull up to the first window pay and then pull up to the second window to get your food but instead they just stare at you and don't say nothing until you just drive off without anything how can they do this and still have a business they need to get there heads out of you know where and fix this asap 😡

    @clark56killa If this was MUT it would've been fixed and there would be nonstop updates from Kraelo on twitter. This is so stupid.

    @clark56killa Maybe a refund on our subscriptions for the down-time period would at least be a "good-faith" gesture by EA.

    I think Madden20 MUT has a franchise mode with a fantasy draft.  Anyone down right now?

    Thanks, but no luck.  I spent the last two hours running down all possible fixes assuming the problem was on my end, but I just checked with several others in my Online Franchise and they are experiencing the same difficulty.  We received the courtesy notices about maintenance & gating last night, but nothing this morning.  We can get into Ultimate Team and the Sony Network is obviously OK, but not able to access the Franchise.  If EA knows of an issue it would be nice if they posted that as they do for the maintenance and gating.  Darn frustrating!  We could have gotten a couple of weeks out of the way on the Franchise prior to that Noon and 3 O'clock game!  Go Gophers and Tigers!
