Madden 20 searching for opponent

Every time I try to find a match it says “searching for opponent” and never stops, I cannot find a match and haven’t been for a few days. Just wondering I got banned or something because I have no clue what’s going on.

    It sounds like there's a hiccup in the connection to the servers, try rebooting the network and console and that should fix it for you. 

    Reboot the power to the modem/router

    1. Unplug the power cable from your modem/router for 5-10 minutes to refresh the network.

    How to power cycle your Xbox console:

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    1. Plug the console power cable back in.
    2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

    How to power cycle your PS4 console

    1. Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
    2. Turn it back on after 1 minute. Launch the game.

    Last Saturday I unfortunately matched up against a pause-glitcher. Since I am stubborn and didn’t want to give him the win, I left my Xbox on overnight so he would eventually quit and I would get the win (it was weekend league so I somewhat cared...) I woke up in the morning with the win thankfully, but now I can’t get into any games? Whenever I try to connect to an online match of any kind, it just says “still searching” and will never match me up vs an opponent. I am concerned that I got banned for this pause glitch since I got the win and hope this would get overturned... Not only did this cheating rat glitch my game and make me stop playin  for the whole night, he also got me banned? That seems extremely unfair... I also reported him during the game on the EA website, but got no responses and apparently I ended up receiving the ban? Ridiculous. Hopefully I can get an actual response to this message and not just another useless reply that doesn’t help me fix my situation.

    Have you power cycled your console and network since this happened? It sounds more likely that the connection has a hiccup and by establishing a fresh link that should work this searching error out.
