The last windows update was on Nov.21st. and I haven't reinstalled the game since September, when it worked until Dec. 1st.

Community ManagerTry running the game in compatibility mode (right click on the desktop shortcut>properties>compatibility) and run it in an older OS. If that doesn't work, a reinstall might be worth it as a recent Windows Update might have some correlation.

That's strange. Have you tried reaching out to our Live-Support team so they can pull up your account to see what is causing that license error? Those older games have a limit on how many times they can be installed before the license needs to be renewed. They can walk you through the steps on how to perform that.

- @EA_Blueberry I've only installed the game twice. The first time when I downloaded from Amazon in Sept. 2014 on my XP desktop. When I had a problem with windows, I removed the hard drive to a portable drive. I connected it to laptop and had no problems until Sunday. I also bought a dvd copy from Amazon and had no problem playing the game on my windows 10 laptop until Sunday. There's been no multiple installations. Just one.
