Madden 21 franchise create a player wont lock as player

For madden 21 franchise mode why can't I play as just my create a player? In madden 20 you would only play as your created player.

    @kapikz under league settings player mode turn off full on-field control

What option did you select when you created your Franchise? Player, Coach, or Owner?

@EA_Blueberry I am having the same exact problem as him. I chose a run support ss and I just want to control my player but it gives me the option to control the entire team, offense or defense. Its rather annoying
