madden 21 online franchise

me and my friend play just the two of us. when we play eachother everything goes well and we finish the game. when we load back into the franchise the game never counts and it says we never played it...

Are you both playing in the same house on the same console under an offline franchise, two different consoles in the same house, or two different consoles from different locations?

Are you on XB1, PC, or PS4 and has this happened before to you both?
