Madden 21 players randomly blitzing in zone coverage or dummying out

Summarize your bug Players randomly blitzing in zone coverage leaving their coverage area open or dummying out in man coverage
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Correct the random blitzing in zone coverage and fix the man coverage in instances where the defensive player in coverage attributes (speed, acceleration, awareness and play recognition) are better than the offensive player they are covering
What happens when the bug occurs? I have gaps in my defense
What do you expect to see? Correct the glitch/bug

    @Mightyman1180 Im having the same problem feels like its new. My guy in coverage starts covering then all of a sudden starts blitzing leaving their guy running wide open!! Madden 21 is nuts with issues!!

    I'm playing Franchise as we speak and this is STILL happening. It's infuriating to be in MAN COVERAGE,  and my player dummies out, quits his coverage and decides to rush the QB. At least once a game.

    very likely this is a very dumb question now, but are you sure you didn't touch the button that asks the closest coverage defender to attack the QB?

    I myself did not see this bug yet (playing on PC) and this would be my first guess. hope it helps (otherwise please forgive me for the stupid question!).

    do you think this bug is related to a specific play or formation? I assume it would help the dev team if you could take some notes in which plays (and formations) it happens. maybe the zones of the defenders are just wrongly specified for these plays? or there is a bad interaction between the offense and the defense play...

    a thought on how to help the dev team identify and solve the problem....

    The offense is usually in a bunch formation, or the wide receivers will be aligned close to the offensive line. From what I noticed, the Linebackers are more often to forgot their coverage assignments more than DB's. I am usually in man coverage and I coach adjust to make sure defenders don't go for the QB on options or what the D think is an option.

    That's a good question about coverage on the closest defender, but nope. It's a totally random bug, but the computer uses it often. I've also been noticing it in online play as well. Regardless of man or zone.

    @mannishashell hm, I did not see this bug yet (playing on PC) but I'd assume it is because my play selection on defense became very monotonous. if you could take some more notes on your formation and play as well as the your opponent (if possible: I will try to help you to find this bug and hopefully can upload some videos helping the dev team to find the bug).

    if I want to find out what formation and play my opponent plays on offense, I watch the play again using the replay option and try to find it in the playbook database: https://www.madden-school.com/playbooks/. if I know the playbook of my opponent (in Solos it is most likely the playbook of the team on the field, i.e. the same as the jerseys) I'm most often able to find out which play it was. it is a bit more difficult if the respective playbook has a lot of e.g. Gun or Singleback formations but it is still possible...
