Madden 22 crashing

I’ve uninstalled madden about 5x downloaded some Xbox beta Home Screen, deleted cache, I’ve exhausted all options and the game continues to crash. It’s been about 4 days of it. It was unplayable until around November/December and then it was fixed. Now it’s broken again and I don’t know what to do.

This might be due to two personas of the same platform on your EA account. One will have to be removed and linked to a new EA account.

    To check:

    1. Visit profile.ea.com
    2. Under Connections tab, verify you see your PSN ID/Xbox Gamertag. Not seeing it? You are logged into the incorrect account.
    3. If you see more than 1 Xbox or PSN ID each, you will need to remove one and log into any EA game with the removed ID to prompt account creation for that ID.
    4. YOU WILL LOSE PROGRESS FOR THAT UNLINKED GAMERTAG/PSN ID. Visit here for full information on what you lose, including info on Battle Pass for Apex Legends.
    5. It is important you link up the Gamertag/PSN ID you removed to a new EA account or else this error can still occur.

If you are unable to locate the email address you have for the EA account your Gamertag/PSN ID is linked to, please contact our Support team below for account recovery.

  • I have had the same problem. Was in middle of franchise mode and it just crashed out to my xbox dashboard. Went back on and the intro screen was different for the EA rights and agreements. I usually just skipped my email but this time I had to tick that I read the agreement and hit next (had to do that twice in the one startup loading screen). Tried going back into my franchise and hit load, but soon after the screen jutters, goes black and sends me out to xbox dashboard. Tried other game modes and same thing. Deleted and reinstalled game, same thing. Deleted my cache for madden 22, same thing.

This is absolutely ridiculous. For the last ywae or more I was enjoying Madden 20 until that came off Game Pass so tried Madden 22. Didn't even get to finish one season of franchise because of this hard crash issue.

    Unacceptable

You nailed it. How do I remove one? It’s an ancient account I haven’t used in over 10 years

If the option does not show up for you next to the name, please contact our Support team below. Keep in mind that by removing it alone won't address it. You will need to then log into the game with that Gamertag in order to sync it up with a new EA account to complete the fix. If you do not have access to that Gamertag, I recommend contacting Xbox/PlayStation Support to see if you can recover the account before going through with that process.

Can you try visiting this website on a PC on the same network you play on and sign in to see if you can accept the Terms there? We've seen this work for players that are receiving the agreement prior to crashing on the consoles.

Once signed in, load up Madden to see if it's resolved. Let me know if that helps!

  • Is there any news on fixing the crash? I have user games to play my friends and I can’t complete even a quarter. I’ve deleted cache, reinstalled the game, checked my ea account to be the only one on account. I’ve exhausted all avenues known and it’s been now over a week of the game being unplayable.

Did you remove an Xbox Gamertag from your EA account and link it to a new EA account? If you removed one and didn't link it to a new account, the steps are halfway done and the crashing could still occur.

I created an entirely new account on EA and on Xbox. Still crashing.
