It used to show up about once every 5 season games, then every other seaon game, and now every game. The controller buttons doesn't respond and I have to quit and uninstall.

I use MSI X-Box type corded controller. I am starting a franchise game and quitting in the middle of it. When I come back, I don't get that bug so I'm doing this to avoid uninstall and reinstall.

The reason I asked about the controller is because the Xbox controller is the only official supported controller for the game. Others might work but we can't guarantee players won't run into potential issues. Sounds like you have the official one.It's possible this is due to corrupted files and while it's not ideal, you may want to consider re-installing the game to avoid further issues if it continues to do this in every Franchise. We aren't seeing other reports like this so it leads me to believe it's a local file issue or related to hardware that could be plugged into the PC while playing.
I also recommend checking your drivers for your controller to make sure it's fully updated.
