Over Christmas I bought Madden 22 for PC through Steam. The game always begins running with no issues, then once I get into Ultimate Team or another mode the game completely freezes.I'm pretty sure as it freezes my CPU usage spikes to 100%, but since the game is trapped in full-screen on my desktop, I can't confirm. I have well above the minimum specs for performance (i5-7600k CPU, GTX 1050 TI GPU, 16 GB RAM), and have done everything EA support has told me (cleared cache, changed all GPU rendering, lowered more intensive processes, cleared unnecessary background tasks, safe booted, etc.). I have also verified game files, tried reinstalling, and some other stuff. If anyone has any insight on the issue or has had it themselves, some help would be greatly appreciated 🙂.

@EA_Illium No, I made sure to allow Madden on Windows Defender and to clear any conflicting tasks. I also safe booted and disabled all tasks except Microsoft based processes.

No, it just freezes and I have to close the game as if nothing happens.

Hey @APB_114 Apologies in the delay, I don't see an immediate issue that would cause 22 to crash, Can you try the following to see if this continues?

System File Checker tool

Check for Windows and GPU updates

Set Origin and Madden to run as admin in Compatibility settings

Disable Origin in-game overlay and any other running overlay

If you continue to run into crashing issues, try putting your device in a Clean Boot then check if 22 still crashes.
