First of all I’d bring back the damn challenge button. I’d rather you remove the button completely than to see myself get screwed on a bad call, pause the game and see “challenge” with a lock symbol next to it. Secondly get more realistic with the physicality of the sport. If i tackle a guy in the backfield he shouldn’t be able to fall forward for a positive gain of 4 yards. Also mid game lags when I’m pressing a button to throw repeatedly and he begins to throw and doesn’t and just falls or gets tackled for a sack. Or when i fall into the end zone it be a touchdown instead of being short. When I’m 3 yards into the end zone. Also not making players play before their capability just because they’re not a superstar or X factor. They didn’t get to the nfl by accident. The AI is horrendous sometimes. Instead of your guys making a play they watch the man in front of them catch them ball then decide to move. Sometimes my receivers won’t run their routes at all for 5 seconds and then they’ll start running later as if I’ve just snapped the ball. Ridiculous.
The only way to challenge a play is to play the game on simulation and not competitive. Not sure why, but that's what I discovered. A lot of Madden's issues are that they are too afraid to build a new foundation for the game. A lot of the issues are band-aids that they apply every year to fix a glitch/issue. Doesn't feel innovative.
Hopefully, EA can build NCAA from the ground up and then build Madden off of that.
