I have an external monitor a mouse and a blue microphone and my ps4 controller sometimes i unplug the microphone to charge my phone but thats it.

Do you know if the phone is plugged in when it freezes? My phone charger caused my Xbox to slow down when I tried to charge it thru the USB slot. Not sure if it has the same effect on a PC though. The Yeti mic should be fine.
The Xbox controller is the only official controller for Madden. I haven't seen PS4 controllers lead to crashing though. Do you know if it has the latest controller driver update?

the phone wasn't plugged into the computer on the last freeze ill look to update the controller drivers but im fairly certain they are up to date. I will try playing challenges without the controller and use the keyboard controls to see if it still occurs. Its weird the xbox is the only supported controller but without using ds4 or 3rd party programs madden will use ps4 buttons and show ps4 controls when plugged in.
I checked my drivers for my controller and they are up to date. I did also attempt to do a solo battle with everything external unplugged but my mouse and the second i picked my kick off it froze. I had to ctrl alt delete to open task manager to end the task. Even without a controller connected through USB or bluetooth it still froze

We've seen players fix similar issues installing it on the C Drive. Is it possible to do that? @EA_Blueberry ill do it now and see how it works
unfortunately moving it from D: drive to C: drive did not stop it from freezing.

I was out the last 5 days. Have you tried deleting the EA App and re-installed it? There is a possibility this could be launcher related. Sorry I didn't know you replied I thought we were done trying to fix it. But to answer ur EA App isnt the program using its origin. I have repair and verified through origin and disabled the overlay in origin already and its launched through admin.

Can you try using the EA app instead? Try deleting the game and re-install it through the EA app. That has fixed it for other players who are experiencing freezing.
https://www.ea.com/ea-app-beta did using EA app solve the problem? I'm going through the same problems and nothings seems to work. Now I'm stuck downloading madden again with my phone internet to try and play it again.
- @G_Santana47 I have the same problem and using the EA app didn't solve it. However, there are some possible ways I've compiled to fix it. The first one is to set both the EA app and Madden to always run as Administrator. This will increase the time between crashes in my experience. The second one, which unfortunately doesn't work for me but did for someone else, is to set the game's priority to Realtime in Task Manager. My computer is already mostly maxed out playing the game, so I don't have additional resources to dedicate towards keeping the game running, but it might work for you. Hope this works, tell me if it does/doesn't!
Hey im sorry im having a problem with EA play. Every time I try to download madden its telling me to sign in through Microsoft and make sure I have the game pass subscription. Im signed in on my origin account and its not letting me download through EA app.

If you have Game Pass Ultimate try downloading the EA app through the Xbox app on your PC.

I managed to complete 6 solo battles without an issue I ran both madden and EA play as admin with setting madden to high prio in task manager. So the issue could have been origin all along and I very much appreciate the help with solving this issue. Its a shame it took about a year to fix this but nothing can change that.

I'm sorry you had to deal with tech issues for almost a year to be able to enjoy the title. If anything ever pops up again please jump in these forums and let us know. I do appreciate you coming back to confirm what fixed it for you so others can stumble across solutions here on the forums.
Good luck on the field! - @holyflygon Was it specifically installing it through the EA app or just running it through the EA app that fixed it?
Both I installed madden 22 through EA app and have not had the issue. EA app seems to come with its own issues but if u launch the game application with the EA app launched u game will not have the issues I had.
- @EA_Blueberry And how can I now add Madden NFL22 to EA Play if I bought it in steam? I can't start the game if the ia play is running. I have exactly the same freezes as other people. Running as administrator and high priority doesn't help
I have tried setting to high on both EA App and Madden, lowering graphics settings and starting through Stean and EA and I still get freezes loading into games, after picking a play, or after a play. Lucky if I can complete a whole game, or more than 3 challenges without a crash.
