madden does not follow nfl rules
i went into overtime. then the opposing team kicks a field goal on the first possesion. i never got my chance to ever touch the ball in overtime. i did not pay $80 to play a game that does not follow ...

Did you have to punt the ball?
The NFL OT rules say that the FIRST team to possess the ball in OT can either kick a field goal or score a TD.
If they kick a field goal then OT goes on until the time expires or the other team matches the field goal or scores a TD.
If the second team scores a field goal then it goes into sudden death.
If the first team doesn't score then it goes into sudden death.

so you were never allowed an opportunity to possess the ball? Your opponent only kicked a field goal? Then the code is wrong. Madden does not follow the rules they misrepresent the NFL and the NFLPA.
