    Thanks for bringing this top our attention, I've collected all of the necessary information and sent it over to our dedicate teams. I apologize for this inconvenience, honestly I play online and I know that the in-game communications (especially with heavy breathers...) isn't the best.

    I've been looking around for workaround for you guys in the meantime, one redditor has opted with the following in the meantime:

    Madden uses Window’s default recording device in the sounds settings. Just change the default device in there and then manually set your microphone on Discord or whatever communication program you’re using.

    I'll keep you in the loop if there are any more updates on this.

    Accepting as a solution to give this response more visibility. This does not mean this is the final solution, it means we are investigating and trying to fix it! 🙂

1. Shift + F1 (Bring up Origin overlay)
2. Settings
3. Voice
4. Activation Mode: Push to talk (change from Voice Activation)

    Haha nice try. My buddy and I tried that on the first day. This doesn't help at all because Madden doesn't use this as VoIP but, as the EA Community Manager said, Madden uses the Windows settings or input devices.

    And the question was how to mute the opponents, and there is currently no solution because an InGame option is missing to disable this.

    Next time please read all articles before offering a bad and wrong solution.

      They need to have a MUTE option.  I just had a top tier player troll our game with his open mic, he had UFC commentary all game turned up loud.  

      I won't put his name up here, I have found him on reddit and asked him why he does this...?!   

      I suspect more and more troll players will use this tactic to either get people to quit or just a way to put them off their game.

      PLEASE EA GIVE US MUTE OPPOSITION OPTION!
