Madden on steam but EA play not available

I want to buy the game on steam but with EA play not available till the 31st that means the 7 day early access would not be available to me on steam even with the $100 version? I was hoping someone could explain this to me.

Is there anyway I can purchase Madden 21 on steam and EA Pro on origin and get that 7 day early access?

If not it seems really stupid to launch EA play 3 days after you have a significant game launch.

    EA Play Pro will only be available on Origin unfortunately, the basic EA Play will be available on all platforms including Steam as separate subscriptions.

    So you will not get the 7day early access via Steam i'm afraid, sorry bud ☹️

    @Jugger2455 Yes, EA clearly prefer pc gamers to keep buying directly with EA Origin. Only EAPPro via Origin gets you those 7 days.

    31st launch date of EAPlay on steam is irrelevant to M21 as it doesn't get you M21 until after xmas. EAPlay Pro is not coming to steam imho.

    Did I miss something. Do they not have EA Pro through steam? Just the basic for $5 a month?

    That would put a damper on my plan and force me to buy with origin.

    Just an FYI, even if you buy through Steam most games will still force you to play through Origin regardless. I bought Mass Effect Andromeda during a Steam sale, but every time I boot it up Origin has to open and it launches from there instead.

    Yeah I'm aware. I just like having  one spot to launch all my games from.

    I guess here's another question.

    If I were to sub to EA play and play madden 21 on origin and purchases the game later on steam, would that progress carry over?

    @EA_Blueberry Hmm...

    I chatted with EA live chat yesterday and they told me it didn't transfer. Anyway you could fully confirm this for me?
