Do you have any Windows Updates that are pending and have you tried disabling one of the controllers under devices from the Control Panel to see if that can help avoid this?
I'm not the original poster but I have the same exact problems. No I don't have any pending updates either. I've been searching for a solution and found dozens of other threads with the same issue but none of them have a fix.. is there any other thing you can think of? It's only this game where I have this problem and it was a waste

Have you tried clearing the cache for the game? Here's steps on how to do that for Origin and EA Desktop: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Are you launching the game through Steam or Origin?
