Just a heads up I'm going to close down this post in the Madden 21 forums since it's from 2020 to prevent further necroposting.
The kicking meter not accurately registering the button taps could be due to two reasons:
- Poor connectivity to the servers which lag will result in miscalculated timed kicks
- A kicker is not actually in your kicker position on the depth chart and you have a punter in your kicker position
