man coverage CB

I know we've discussed this on the EA Madden NFL forums, however if anyone else is experiencing this we are looking for video examples so the team can determine what behavior is leading up to this so they can implement a fix.

I was now able to create a video of this bug. It is from the first pre-season game in franchise (my 49ers against the Broncos, rosters are in the pre-season version without injuries). it is WR #15 Winfree who beats the CB #41 Moseley. Moseley does not move till the QB starts the passing animation (i.e. the arm starts to go back for the throw). it was the very last play of the game.

the offense audibled to 'Shotgun Spread' - 'Deep Attack' (if I have reconstructed it correctly).

I used the '3-4 Odd - Pinch Buck 0' from the 'Multiple D' defense playbook and did the following adjustments pre-snap:

• show blitz
• manually moved both safeties

next example taken from my first Solo Battle game this week facing 90 OVR Raiders. Terry McLaurin 'beats' my CB Asamugha. Well, 'beat' does not quite hit it. My CB simply does not react...

It really sucks that this bug costs me a huge amount of Solo Battle score every single week. I have to give up a long distance TD just due to this bug...

even more annoying considering that there exists this second bug in man coverage when the offense skips the huddle. ☹️

next Solo Battle (again against a Raiders team with 89 OVR), and again it happened. this time my CB Asamugha was beaten by WR Finneran.

it so sucks when considering that I compete against players who are obviously using this block-field-goal-switch-to-punt-easy-INT glitch and are never in danger to face bugs like this. when comparing the weekly scores, some players have almost the same scores every week. I assume this is almost impossible if you are playing straight and do not use any glitches..

I was top 10 in Solo Battles in the last 2 weeks. maybe I was lucky to rank that high if some of the usually top ranked players got one of these DNFs that are often occuring lately. but I am so convinced that a leaderboard in a solo mode only makes sense or is 'fair' if it no longer depends on 1) being a victim of a DNF error, 2) using glitch plays, or 3) being lucky with unlucky animations or bugs. In particular, from my point of view it does not make sense at all, to make the rewards so much dependent on whether you make it into the top 100 or not. as it is now, it just increases incentives for players to make use of glitch plays. this is not my understanding of how a mode should look like that is fun for all players.

and I say that although I'm one of those who benefit greatly from this ranking! but I'd be so much in favor of rewards being more evenly and fairly distributed. all players who play this mode should get something out of it, and it should be worth the time they invest in it.

it is my first trial to upload a video on youtube, so please forgive me if it doesn't look very professional yet (feebdack is very welcome! in particular if you can tell me how to do it better!). 

the videos are very short because I wanted them to fulfill the max size condition to upload files here. I will try to ammend the recordings with longer clips as soon as I face this bug again.

Thank you for your efforts. The clips are a little too short to put all the pieces together to determine what could be causing this. If you're able to record it live when the play happened or go back into a replay and play it in regular speed that will help us out. 

@EA_Blueberry just managed to reconstruct the bug in practice mode. I uploaded a 4th video (see youtube-link in my previous post) 

I used the 49ers' defense with the Multiple D playbook and the Raiders' offense.  

Defense play: 3-4 odd Pinch Buck O; coverage adjustments: 'show blitz' and 'underneath'

Offense play: Gun Spread Y-Flex, Y-Option; no adjustments

Raiders' #15 Nelson Agholor beats 49ers' #22 Jason Verrett simply by running straight.

I've tried it a few times in practice mode. My guess would be that it happens half the time that the CB makes a minimal move to the side during the snap but then stops while the WR runs the streak route. as soon as the passing animation starts the CB starts to turn around and pursuing the WR without any chance to catch him.

 the difference between 1)  'the CB  stands still' and 2) 'the CB 'covers the WR' (i.e. bug vs. normal) seems to me to be that in one case the WR's run is slightly slowed down by body contact (the CB makes its first move to the side sufficiently large), while in the other case the WR's run is not affected.

this time it is a bit different because the CB is still in motion when the ball is snapped, but it looks very similar (i.e. the QB almost immediately threw the ball)
