Maximum number of x-factor players on field

Why are teams only allowed a maximum of 6 x-factor players (in a game) with a maximum of 3 on offense and 3 on defense? I've noticed that regardless of how many x-factor players are on a team's rost...

    They should allow you to pick which 3 players are going to have X-Factor for that particular game

You can choose which 3 you want on the field by going to adjust lineup and going to zone abilities and selecting one and then it shows the rest as selectable options to replace the one you dont want.
