Mut 18 auction house coins

What's up with this janky af auction house? If I'm bidding on something that goes for 700k, and I have 830k, I shouldn't get a message saying out of coins at 415k. Then you have to back out 3 screens, pull up the menu, delete the message to get the coins back, and try to get back in, losing the auction in the process. This is by far the dumbest set up I've ever seen. I've seen this from previous years, so my questions is, why? Why? Multi-billion dollar company and can't fix a simple game mechanic smh...
