When you invite your friend from the in-game menu, how long do they wait for the invite until they back out? It looks about 15 seconds for us to see it the first time I tried with a buddy.
I removed and re invited 2 friends on origin but nothing (the 2 that have the game) 135 on my friends list. My ingame friends list is completely empty so i cant invite people. We've seen other overlays cause some conflicts with Origin. Can you try closing all other programs down and try again? If that doesn't work, try a clean boot and then immediately launch Origin as administrator. This is how you can identify whether it's something running in the background causing the invites to not register.
