Go to continue my offline franchise and come to learn that i can no longer play it because the version of the game has change.
Just lost 3 years of work and not even thinking about starting a new one if im just going to lose that too!

I'm having the same problem. I have the Madden 2016 PS4 Version. I see that the older 2015 version basically had the same problem. I didn't even have my game logged in so it can't be a roster issue. I didn't even have a customized Roster. I beat the conference final. I went to bed. Then I woke up this morning to the *bleep* error message. This is absolutely ridiculous that this terminal issue to the game hasn't even been addressed by EA in any manner I'm aware of. Now I see why people get so furious with EA including professional publications.
Specifically to EA the corporation, not employees or people on this board. Consider it to be an open letter as I know people who work in the game press:
LIKE MANY OTHER EA CUSTOMERS, I FEEL EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED WITH YOUR INACTION ON MADDEN. EA ARE YOU LISTENING TO US AT ALL. WHY HAVEN'T YOU ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE YET? WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A FIX. PEOPLE SPEND THERE HARD EARNED MONEY, TYPICALLY $60 +TAX ONLY TO GET A BROKEN GAME? DO YOU NOT HAVE ANY COMPETENT IT PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO LAZY OR TOO CHEAP TO ACTUALLY RESOLVE AN ISSUE GOING BACK TO AT LEAST 2015? ONE WOULDN'T EVEN THINK IT WOULD BE HARD TO HAVE A WORKAROUND IN WHICH YOU GO DELETE YOUR PREVIOUS UPDATE (ASSUMING THAT'S THE ISSUE) AND REFUSE ANY FUTURE ONES. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED NOW. PLEASE, GIVE US A FIX TO THIS GAME. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE BASICALLY HAVE A MONOPOLY ON A TYPE OF GAME (NFL FOOTBALL).
I apologize to everyone in EA and people who read this post for the caps. It wasn't intended to be rude or disrespectful to anybody. It was intended to miraculously get the attention of those who can actually either give a workaround and/or update this *bleep bleep bleep" game.
