Online play clock glitch
Players online are losing and instead of taking the loss they are pressing start while they are on offense and somehow the play clock stop and they just sit there until their opponent quit.

If you suspect a player may be playing unfairly you can use the steps detailed at the following link to report them. Thank you for not naming any player you suspect may be cheating, this is called "Name and Shaming" and is not allowed on Answer HQ.
https://help.ea.com/article/how-to-report-cheatingAre they pausing the game and leaving it there? If so you have to press the option to resume the game on your end. They will then have 30 seconds before the game will resume. They can only do this 5 times.
I have played around 200 games online and not seen this one. I wonder if the player actually quit but for some reason that didn't reflect on your end. If that did happen to me I would try calling a timeout if I had any left to see if that could get the clock ticking again. Still, not sure the player was abusing anything.
- I have been having the same issue it's happened multiple times now latest today. After he got ball back he called all of his players off the field by running backwards in the endzonethen the game just sits thereI can call timeout once but then after that I have to sit there and wait until he quits or I quit
