Only earning 100 xp in owner mode for coach on madden 15

So I am using the Baltimore Ravens as my franchise team. I have played roughly 9 weeks of the season and my coach has only earned about 1800 xp points. How can I earn more xp for my coach during owner mode on Connected Franchise OFF line????? Been dying to figure this out. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
