PLAY NOW/EXHIBITION play modes wont allow to use injured players

How do I use injured players in my exhibition modes? I've turned off my pre-existing injuries in the franchise mode, but still have the same problem. This is for madden 18 for ps4 by the way.

Man I’m tired of this I play with Philly and I’m tired of seeing everyone playing with their superstars who are injured (Watson, Cook, Rogers even seen OBJ) this isn’t cool
