Gotcha. Does it happen no matter what team, lineup, or playbook you're using? Have you tested different combinations to see if that makes a difference?

This issue is definitely related to the latest update. Before the latest update installs it’s fine. After it installs player 2 has no control. I obviously try to stop it from installing but it ends up doing it automatically eventually. Is there a way I can make it not automatically install the game update?

Thanks for the updates!
There's another thing I wanted to check. I'm wondering if you might be getting stuck in an audible before the snap. There's an option to hide audibles when you're playing with two players so that your opponent wouldn't be able to see your calls.
Can you check something for me? Go to your Settings and then select Visual Settings. Look to see if Pre-Snap Menu is turned off there. If it's disabled try turning it back on and see what happens when you try snapping the ball from the player 2 side./Kent

Over a year later and this problem wasn’t resolved for Madden 21. And now I have bought Madden 22 AND THE SAME PROBLEM IS HAPPENING. It’s impossible to play head to head as player two is unable to snap the ball. EA or someone please help.

Has anyone figured out a solution for this? We just loaded this game today and player two can’t snap the ball. X works throughout the entire setup process. For kickoff and for defense. But for offense they are stuck sitting there as the clock runs out delay of game after delay of game. Anyone have a solution?
