Player development trait downs not being counted

I have this same problem.  Two of my players have the hidden development trait and the downs played are not counting.  One player has played two games and his counter says 0/500, the other has played one game and his counter says 0/500.  Both are rookies.  I play on Xbox one.

Summarize your bug Played a full game, WR Darnell Mooney played a lot of it, and still had 0/500 downs played for his hidden trait. Other rookies that played had their downs counted just fine.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a game with multiple rookies I guess.
What happens when the bug occurs? Downs don't count towards the 500 to unlock their trait.
What do you expect to see? Downs counting.

One of my rookie receivers (Mooney) did not have his downs counted at all in his first game, for progress towards his hidden trait.

I’ve had this issue with 2 different franchises. Seems to be a common issue with free agent rookies or rookies that I’ve traded for.
